UAD > competition
There are a million competing Pultec emulations out there. Most of them will get the job done as far as EQing things goes. But as far as using them like one uses the hardware, for their extra special sauce and gentle shaping, the UAD's are leader of the pack. You'll notice it within seconds of playing with it. They are also a pleasure to use, don't wreck the integrity of my signal, and the GUI is the best Pultec GUI out there. I use these all the time, for every mix.

Close to the hardware original.
Pretty darn convincing. 4 stars is just because I don't personally have a lot of use for this kind of effect very often, but it's a classic, and heard on many thousands of albums back in the day.

Now my go to synth.
A very flexible and great sounding synth plugin. The audio quality is second to none. The range of beautiful sounds it can produce, their dynamism and their usefulness is excellent.
But I’d like to send a real congratulations to the designers of the user interface. Such a clean and smart design that allows very quick and easy access to so many features both without clutter and without diving into a multitude of menus and submenus. A programmers dream or if you want to quickly adjust presets to work perfectly in your track that is a breeze too.
This synth will definitely find its way onto every song I write. I’ve added it to my new song template.

These are almost as good as the hardware, and more authentic in the short attack time behavior than competing emulations. Great stuff!

Best ITB LA-2A
Unlike other plugins trying to emulate this hardware, the UAD version is very close. Very smooth. The 3 different revisions all have quite different attack times, meaning this collection is a lot more flexible than it seems with just the two knobs.

Exceptional!
I've downloaded quite a few of these kinds of synths. This one really is exceptional. Some really nice ARPS, very clean, smooth and tastefully done. Just started delving into it without even using any modifications on sounds. This has creative potential as the sounds will mix in very well with various projects. Hardly ever leave a review but this deserves one. Nice work!

It just Delivers!!! Great and warm sound!
What a beautiful product to Add to your sonic arsenal for a tiny bit of warmth on a bus or a blast of Bass and Air that will make you smile.
The presets are a great start but these are very easy to dial in plugins the.
I really like the Meq-5 on guitars and use both to give a final touch on my master channel.
Just a bit of boost and cut can go can make a big difference and even with our any boost or cut it’ll add that bit of analog sound inside your digital workspace! At first I was like cool a new plug-in but it just delivered with a few clicks I was amazed at how this made me smile!

Almost bought, then noticed it's Native-only -- it cannot be used for performance
I don't have a serious issue with native plugins in general but a speaker effect should be a UAD plugin. Example, if you're playing a guitar through a rotating speaker, you will play differently to experiment with and optimize the effect -- you can't do that with a native plugin (in most cases, practically speaking). For $200 USD, I can choose from an array of effects pedals that will do the same thing, and all of them will work on stage as well as in the studio.

Excellent Rhodes Instrument
There are obviously many elec piano plug ins but the weakness is often the top end. The UAD version really gets that right. It bites and rings like a real Rhodes. It’s also a huge time saver that all the extras you would use with a Rhodes, like pedals and rack effects are built in and ready to go. Overall the sound, interface, and ease of use are excellent. Another banger from UAD.

Cannot imagine mixing without this plugin
The classic Pultec sound. This plugin just makes everything that passes through it so much more musical. It’s incredible the way it can give a source so much more vibe, depth and sense of a creating a 3D image from something 2D. Indispensable.

Superbe mais inutilisable sur scène !
De superbe sonorité et une interface facile à explorer. Malheureusement, du fait de la licence ilok cloud PolyMax ne fonctionne pas sur mon mac quand je suis sur scène loin d'une connexion internet. Le transfert de licence ( du cloud Ilok vers l'ordi ) est peut-être possible mais particulièrement mal documenté. Par conséquent je ne l'utilise plus et j'ai donné ma préférence au GX-80 de Cherry audio dont les modalités de licences sont nettement moins alambiquées. C'est dommage de devoir renoncer à de belles réalisations du fait d'une stratégie de licence tiers qui manque de souplesse.
