It sounds impressive but as it is a real CPU hog it´s a shame it´s ONLY Native. We bought that mighty OCTO Uad-2 for a reason ;)

Brings a little extra life
I first used it on some drums and it really added depth and life. In a mix I’ll try it on a variety of instruments. Sometimes it adds a really noticeable improvement, sometimes it is subtle, other times I find that sticking with the original sound is best. Happy with the purchase, I feel it adds depth particularly to tracking that needs a little more life injected into it.

Beast of a plugin
It is easy to use and can sound clear to dirty or anything inbetween on any source your throw at it. It's great for drum rooms, acoustic guitars, bgvs and so much more. It is a very creative tool.

Amazing sound and really useful features!
I managed to save a bad recorded acoustic guitar using the DI track! it sounded very natural and pleasing. I'm also loving the "encode" feature for vocals! This plugin is full of features and very intuitive, you can inject a nice "vibe" in your recordings!

Great in principle
I don’t want to be down on anything that so much work and effort went into, but I made the same mistake as others. I bought this out of excitement alone not realizing that it was Native only. I’m not sure how many others are Native only. Other than the obvious instruments, there are barely a handful that are solely Native. Still totally useable, but not why I bought a Satellite system. I do love these virtual room plugs, because like many I cannot live in world class rooms, but I can get the feel from my very own home.

I really like the bundled studio sounds with this plugin. I’m using a MacMini 2012 I7, 16mg, and 1 TB SSD. So far using Studio City on drums with 4 plugins active my system hasn’t crashed.

The best room simulation so far!
I was struggling many years to make good drum room sound from my home home recording room. I tried many plugins and I was never satisfied with results! This is for the first time in my life that plugin can simulate amazing drum room! Thank you so much!

Nice UX, room sounds are good but maybe a bit overstated...
Dropped this onto a drum bus with a simple 3-mic classic rock style recording of a sweet set of Ludwigs. The plugin is very easy to use and sounds really good too, but when I would A/B between the plugin and the dry bus I actually preferred the dry bus. Can't quite put my finger on why, though I'd say the plugin almost sounds *too good*, or overly wet and processed where the simplicity of the three mic setup recorded in a modest room provided enough reflection and wide stereo image to not need much else. I suspect this plugin will work wonders on sampled drums like Superior etc. So overall I like it, great UX and sounds, but I haven't found the problem this plugin fixes yet.

2014 Mac book and still love it
Yes. This plugin uses a lot of cpu. But progress comes with a price. Commit. Bounce your tracks. Uses less instances of this plugin and you will be golden. There’s no question about it. The plugin is a breakthrough. If you like great spaces, get this plugin.

Transforms your whole session
Looooove this plug-in! My favorite plug-in purchase of the year (and for such a steal!) I own and love Ocean Way Studios as well but having only one DSP chip, I have to be very selective on when I can use it. Sound City being Native is huge. I just added 4 of them to a live recording session and it completely transformed it.

about CPU issues (I do not have any at all) and easy solutions
Wondering why this wonderful plugin got only 4 stars on average, which leaves the plugin to one of the worst ratings among the 5 star ratings of other UAD plugins, I found some reviews that complain about CPU issues with this plugin. One even recommends not to buy it. This is sad, because for me it belongs to the top 3 UAD plugins. I tested it and I was able to run multiple instances of the plugins with my MacBook with only 8 GB RAM. Even my old PC (nearly 20 years old) can handle an instance easily.
Therefore I suggest an easy solution. But before that try to exclude wrong system settings. Always mix with a high latency. I select the highest possible. That is 1028 in Logic and 2056 in Cubase. In Cubase you can run it with nearly 20 year old windows computers. I would not call that an up to date or decent system. Still this plugin is running fine on that.
If that does not help then use it as you would use a studio. Put it on the insert of the track, commit to a setting, and export the track.
This plugin can make tracks sound so amazing and real that I would not want to miss it even on computer from the Stone Age. Like my old PC.

Sounds great. But what's the point when I can hardly run on instance without it cracking up. lowered buffer ect. running one track, a dry drummer loop in logic just testing it out. I thought it was both uad and native..why ! ?
