Perfect
I really liked it, perfect sound, true emulation, characteristics very close to an ssl, like all Universal Audio plugins.

Great emulation but heavy on dsp
This plugin gives the fast almost jumping dynamics of a real SSL E channel, I gave 3 stars because of the dsp load. I believe while reviewing uad plugins, its better to consider both ends because we pay for both right?

Well done but...
Pro: real good and rocking EQ sound, top notch Gate, punchie Compressor.
Not so good:
Absolutley incredible high DSP load; limitied bandwith also on higher samplerates.
The Gainstage is compleatly linear until overload, so where´s the sound?
The older version is supplied at least so you can use that instead.
Was not that great idea of mine upgrading it.~
Most newer Plugins do have a limited bandwith, that´s a shame now a days.

Gut, aber...
Zu den Vorteilen: sehr brauchbarer, rockiger EQ-Klang, top Noisgate, knackiger Compressor.
Die Nachteile wiegen leider schwer:
Unglaublich hohe DSP Last, Bandbreite limitiert auf 22kHz egal welche Samplerate.
Der Gainsound ist absolut linear und clean bis zur Verzerrung, wo ist da die Emulation vom Kanalklang? Dieses Problem haben leider generell alle Pugins.
Darum, wirklich brauchbar ist nur die zum Glück mitgelieferte alte Version.

DSP Sucker!
Sounds incredible. But drains your system. For those with at least two Octos go go go. For those with less, stay with the legacy version - it also sounds very good.

Sound awsome but...
There is no digital value in the interface.
If the saved setting of the gain of a EQ is not "0", there is no instant way to reset the gain to 0... Come on gang! We're in 2018!

Due to a certain lack of
SSL 4000 E series boards in my cellar, paired with fading memories of analog desks in general, it is rather hard for me to say if the thingy does what the promo says it does. Eq works, compressor works, knobs in the input section change the sound a bit. Switching from brown to black is a somewhat homeopathic experience. Eats a lot of dsp. Let's face it, after all we buy it because of the "legendwowhitthing". Buying the original has infinetl more style, this is a bit less expensive and doesn't heat the room as much.

Cannot get much compression
To get some compression the threshold needs to be completely down...and sometimes is not even enough. Very weird nobody mentioned it.
