Can’t even rate!!!
Where do I start with this nightmare purchase? I purchased Shadow Hill Mastering Compressor along with the Avalon VT-737. Went through the whole download process on the UA Console. Was only able to download the Avalon plugin and never received the Shadow Hill Compressor although I was charged for both. I reached out to support and still have not receive neither an phone call nor a follow up email going on two weeks now.. Never buying anything from UA what a con job!!!!

Let's not kid ourselves to thinking it's a great product. It isn't. Does not represent UAD or Shadow Hills well. As of now, I'd go with their Dual Vandergraph comp. Sorry guys!

Could be better.
Compressor is closed on the top / it is missing high end.
It's not coding that I expect from universal audio.
Nice emulation, but could be better.

Shadow hills mastering NO
After looking at the hardware hallucinate masterizador and I decided to buy the Uad plugin but it is clear that the hardware is worth $ 10,000 and plugins 300 $ expecting much more from this Plugin and truly believed that my tracks iván to sound spectacular but it has not happened ... I'm disappointed with this Plugin. Perhaps I thought it would sound like the hardware that really is the bomb !!

Compressor does not have the depth as the original, where is that analog 3D sound?
It's sharp :(
In original unit sweet punch is focused on high frequency and sounds fantastic, open, airy and fresh.
Low frequencys sounds warm and natural.
In UAD version that punch is harsh, highs sounds digital.
Low freq sounds not se deep and not natural.
Sorry UAD, as a customer I must say - that is not good emulation :(
I only hope that in future will be better version.

Disappointment
Demoed the SH Mastering compressor, but was really disappointed. Didn't sound as good as expected. In fact, it didn't do anything that I liked. GUI looks weird too on my 27" screen. Given the high price and DSP usage, this is a real downer.

A giant step backwards
I was excited to try this plug in. The recent 1176 package is brilliant, and I had hopes the Shadow Hills would be comparable in quality. It is not. Where the new 1176 sound like analog, this thing sounds digital in the worst way; no depth, no life, way too heavy-handed. A shame. Even with a $50 coupon I couldn't buy it, and it left such a bad taste in my mouth I let the coupon expire without buying anything.
The plug comes off as a marketing scheme for the hardware. It is not worth the bloated price. It somehow succeeds at making three companies look bad.
Nice GUI though.
So, UA, please don't repeat this mistake. If you are going to release new plugs, aim for being the best. Otherwise, why bother?

sounds like la2a and neve combo to me but quality is not that good.
UA you should do this emu by yourself!
I respect BX (bx digital and elysia products is amazing) but in this case - SORRY!
