Really worthwhile
Not required of you have an outboard Lexicon of any standing, just use an insert and introduce your old effects unit into your workflow. Even an old LXP1 or Alex had this vibe. Gets the PCM70
Vibe though which is a lovely flavor.
I preferred it to the 480L when you want to really hear the reverb but the 480L lets you create incredibly long sound design type tails. You don’t need this though if you use Convology XT (free) or any other IR reverb so it’s really for those who always wanted a 480L which I am one too. I do really like the interface with the faders right there, you can’t get around the research that was done into the original user interface but falls short in that midi control should be implemented clearly so you can assign controls to emulate this workflow. Bigtime missed opportunity here but that’s the problem with the plugin world. Not enough synergy between the tactile and mouse worlds. Anyway, it’s the UAD reverb plugin to get for the old school studio reverb unit vibe.

Nice sounding reverb
It looks and sounds like a true vintage Lexicon. I am impressed by how it works in the mix. But, in some of the projects, it does not recognize it is authorized. I never had such an issue with any other UAD plugin. I have no idea what is that all about, but restarting project and rebooting computer did not help at all.

Smooth sounding Lexicon 224 Reverb
I’ve always loved the Lexicon 480L and I was a bit new to UAD’s version, actually a very nice versatile version built upon UAD reputation of plugins. I’m using the Native Version and have found many uses, very nice performance, I have so many reverbs with my studio performing sessions each day.The Lexicon 224 has that professional sound with UAD’s capabilities.

Sound is very good, GUI not user-friendly
The sound from this plugin is high quality. Also the presets are very good. But the GUI seems to be inspired by the original hardware, which means it inherits all the drawbacks of the analog era, not taking advantage of the possibilities of good, digital GUI-design.
I do not regret buying, due to the excellent sound.

Sounds great - GUI needs work
Having used the Lexicon 22XL back in the 1980's and 1990's I can say that the sound of the UADx 224 plugin is so close I am no sure that there are very many people that could tell the difference between the plugin and a hardware unit. So very good job on getting the sonic characteristics right.
In my DAW I had been using three different reverb plugin to get the sound I was looking for so often. I bought the Universal Audio 224 plugin, and opened my current project and the 224 plugin replaced the other 3 reverbs. No Problem, the sound is superb.
However I have been unable to get the GUI to work properly, I get the Left half of the GUI and the right half is missing, simply not showing up at all. So to access all the parameters I have to drop to a generic mode and type in the settings I want to use. It works, but more time consuming. I have been going back and forth with Universal Audio Tech Support (nice folks there) and have tried everything they recommended and still the issue persists.
I am running an Windows 10 machine and an AMD platform. But the issue exists in Studio One, Reaper, Ableton Live, and Harrison Mixbus32C which is my primary DAW for mixdowns. So I can't blame the DAW. Tried the Windows setting but that also had no affect. So to date the problem remains unresolved.
That said, the sound is worth it.

Excellent produit
Excellent produit, comme la vraie, en complément de la LX480...

I like
I actually like this reverb, and I don’t like a lot of reverb plugins.

Great sound
Amazing sound, but controlling parameters dry/wet, mode enhancement and decay optimisation by steps is very inconvenient.

So warm and doesn’t use loads of DSP
I’ve been trying a few reverbs recently. All the UAD reverbs have something realistic and magical about them, but I bought this because the mix of the DSP usage, price, and natural effect it had on my vocals, home-recorded piano, and drums, was just lovely. The sound of this really, in particular the tail on some settings, really draws you into the moment, so very happy with it.

Nice!
One of the best reverbs. I use it often

Lexicon non si smentisce
Ho acquistato questo plug-in da poco e lo sto ancora testando ma dai primi approcci debbo confermare che la sua fama è più che meritata

Lexicon 224 Digital Reverb
I really like the sound of the Lexicon 224. It was difficult at first to get the sound I wanted while using a mouse but when I used the Softube Console 1 Mk2 Controller, it was so much easier. Definitely recommended to capture the Lexicon sound in recordings.
Compared to the other reverbs I currently have (Blackhole, HaloVerb, H-Reverb, IR, RVerb, TrueVerb, Precision Reflection Engine, RealVerb-Pro), I use the Lexicon 224 the most. Can't wait to get all the other UAD reverbs to add to my collection.

NICE PLUGIN
I have used Altiverb and other plugins but UA offer a fatness which the others don't.
This plugin is closed than the original device,The Lexicon 224 immediately creates likeable spaces and environments that can be tailored to any mix.

It’s so beautiful sound. But, a little difficult to use.
It’s a beautiful sound this one. And, this has many controllers so can make a lot of sound!
But, it’s a little difficult to use for me. Because, this has many controllers lol.
