Thunderbolt OCTO-Power
Having 8 little DSPs working for me in a very small box is just awesome. Perfect for huge sessions withs a lot of uad-plugins used. I use the satellite in conjunction with a apollo quad TB, that means 12 DSPs in total -> more than enough!

So, if you're wanting to get into UAD processing, you're gonna need this. I upgraded to the octo, but now I'm considering keeping my quad around, for those especially large mixes. I'm definitely drinking this koolaid.

This is my second UAD 2 Octo , With this beast , I can Mixing ITB with best plugin quality without worry about the CPU useage. Again, It's Awesome.

I really really love how UAD Satellites work and how they sound, it took my old recordings to a new life, expanded sound. Even those guitar/bass recordings that i made in my early days when i used to plug my guitar right to the iMac input, i made these tracks to "monitored" mode and build new tones using my satellite, mixed with satellite, after just mixing i thought i made new recordings eventhough i knew it was old tracks. It is even better when i mix those tracks that i've recorded recently with my new Apollo Twin, i really love the sound of Universal Audio, i've played guitar in a long time, but i considered myself newbie for sound engineering, but after i bought UAD gears, they took me to a new level, i'm now really motivated to learn new things for recording, especially using UAD sound, they are AMAZING. Thank you Universal Audio for making my recordings to a new world, the sky is the limit and the sound is bright as much as i want it.

Wow! What a difference;)
I got a bargain thanks to a UAD discount. Since installation (which was a breeze) I have never run out of dsp. As a result, my mixes have improved, so I'm very happy.
With more dsp I can start to save up for some new plugins!

No Brainer.
Finally, I don't have to look at the dsp meter anymore. It just gives me a peace of mind. UAD plugins always have been my top choice. I don't blame you if you demand the outboard gears but if you're on a budget, investing on UAD plugins are probably the wisest move you could make.

I've used my Apollo twin for 3years, and i felt i need more Dsp for UAD plug-in. Recently I found there's sales for Satellite, i bought it right away. fully satisfied, and don't need to be worry about Thunderbolt connection, Satellite has 2 Thunderbolt plug you just need one more line.

I think it`s a must have. Before i buy the Octo, had an Apollo Duo. What happened is that UAD plugins are awesone and every time i use more and more, but DSP is really limited in Apollo Duo at least. After i turn on the OCTO, i can use a lot of UAD plugins in my sessions.

incredible power & flexibility
I'm in love with this platform! I'm thrilled with how well the units perform, even at higher sample rates. With the OCTO units, I'm able to instance dozens of high-end plug-ins on every one of my 24/96 sessions. I want for nothing because of these units.

I bought my first OCTO Satellite 2 years ago, before I even owned an Apollo. I enjoyed using the UA plugins so much, that I made the move to using an Apollo interface at my home studio, and recording studio. I've since picked up an Apollo Twin as well for live performances. The ability to run more UAD plugins was my main reason for picking up a 2nd OCTO Satellite. Between that and the many new plugins that have been released from UA, I went ahead with the purchase in hopes to be "future proofed" for a while. The OCTO is great... I just hope they continue to utilize the Thunderbolt connectivity that all of my UA devices are currently using. If you are running out of DSP, go and get one of these things!

Always Impressed me
Brought Apollo Twin when it came out and very very impressed by the pres and specially the ad/da.
Then i need more dsp power to runs more plugins for big sessions,
So i ask afriend from indiana to buy me octo card and i will mix his session for free as a trade.It went well and pretty happy with it.
By Far UA plugins are my most powerful weapon in my daily life.
