Amazing Piece of Hardware
As a long date UAD2 user, I am familiar and I have a certain knowhow of UAD2 plugins. For many years using a QUAD PCI-e and it became no longer enough because the mixes also grown up, so I had to purchase another piece of gear, the OCTO TB, now I don't need anymore to make my mixes hybrid, now I can make them 100% with UAD2. The power of those units working together is sumply amazing, no more hybrid mixes, now I can do everything I want using only UAD2 plugins, and more faster than ever.

Hola, el producto está excelente! a veces un poco limitado pero supongo que tendré que aprender a organizar mejor mis mezclas para usar menos plugins y sonar mejor o tal vez despues adquirir otro Satellite o una interface. Lo que aún no entiendo es ¿por qué no puedo registrar mi UAD 4-710D?, tengo 2. Excelente Marca, Excelente Calidad.

Dommage que l'intégration de processeurs ne se fasse pas également dans Console

Tone,color,and character
I've never had plugins give me so much live when it come's to tone and color, like the api 2500, ATR-102, and the Studer A-800. These plugins will change your life and give you the mix confidence that you've been longing for. Thanks uad for you hard work and dedication at recreating analog sound at this time in history.

Great improvement to my workflow
Having the ability to use more plugins has been great for my mixes and workflow. I will most likely get an Octo Satellite soon, but the Quad has been phenomenal.

No satellite no power
before the satellite i was doing some recording with my apollo twin mark 11 and i always wanted to use the oxide tape on many tracks well no way jose, i talk to a friend and he said No Satellite No power, well sure enough he was right, got me one and wow now i`m able to put the oxide plug on every track, like Magic.... also i found out that i can link the twin with the satellite, if you don't have enough thunderbolt jacks. Well amigos that's the way to do it and for Apollo keep up the good work you ROCK. Thank you

More power more plugs
Exactly what the satellite does for you it's give you more power and I was amazed to know that I was able to use that Oxide Tape on every track I tried this before the satellite and I was able to get one or two oxide now I can do 20 or more tracks everybody needs to get this satellite. It really does the job keep up the good work Apollo you rock

Wish I would have gotten this earlier!
I have been curious about UAD and it's plugins for many years. Recently I came across a good deal on a new Satellite Quad Custom package, so I could finally try if the UAD platform is "worth it" since both the UAD hardware and plugins are pretty expensive to get into. I have to admit I was a bit sceptical, but I have been positively surprised. The plugins add a certain dimension and depth to my music that none of my other plugins do, the sound is truly amazing. Now my older mixes sound really flat and lifeless without the UAD plugins, you get used to it really quickly. Wish I would have gotten this earlier!

Raw power for the road

Have UA Quad, bought the octo expansion just b/c I hated seeing the Plugin disabled DSP BS soooooo now I don't have that problem... This is my first real interface and the expansion added in a month... My mixes are really blowing up!!! Does just what I wanted... wish they had a way to get other plugins or some kinda deal but whatever.. is what it is.... BEST OF THE BEST

Love it!
Wouldn’t think twice about getting another one. Not having to worry about running out of DSP is very beneficial and it doesn’t slow down my workflow. I love it and I always take it with me when I’m mixing on the go!

I was shocked by how much processing this thing can handle. I use it in conjunction with my Apollo twin duo and I can’t seem to overwhelm it. I use between 10 and 20 tracks and this doggy keeps the pace and doesn’t get tired.

Free Satellite Octo with my 8P
Got my free Satellite within a month of buying my Apollo 8P and I love being able to mix with it, the additional DSP helps so much when using multiple compressors and the Ocean Ways Room plugin! Love it

UAD-2 Satellite is amazing!
So happy I added this unit to my system. I went from getting low cpu warnings to now being able to use my favorite UA plug-ins on every channel as well as on my master fader. Excellent and super easy to install. Highly recommend this!

A Worthwhile addition
Developing my ability to apply appropriate UA Plug-ins to my Logic X mixes, replacing the Logic Plug-ins - the Octo really helps here. Yes it's adding up to a lot of money but the functionality is pleasing and it's making a difference :) m

Dem "Gear-Aquisition-Syndrom" erlegen
Lieber Leser.
Ich benütze das Gerät mit OSX high Sierra.
Die schöne glatte Oberfläche ist sehr anmutig. Wenn es dieses Teil mit TB3 gäbe wäre es noch schöner. Nun muss ich wieder mal „rumdongeln“.
Nach dem ich nun, nach dem Kauf meines eher schwachbrüstigen Arrows, dem Gear-Aquisitions-Syndrom erlegen bin und zu wenig CPU-Power hatte, musste nun ein weiteres UA Kästchen her; habe ich doch einige Tausender in den Schlund von UA gesteckt und werde dadurch wohl über die nächsten Jahre daran zu kauen haben. (ja, ich habe immer brav auf die „stark reduzierten“ Deals geschaut) Nichtsdestotrotz gefallen mir die Plugins und alles tut wie es soll. Na ja, wenn ich es direkt an mein Arrow hängen könnte, wäre es noch schöner. Oder jammere ich vielleicht auf zu hohem Niveau?

UAD-2 Octo Thunderbolt Satellite is excellent with 8 cores of processing power. The way I load up plugins with console strips and analog recorders on every track, I require a tremendous amount of processing power and 3 linked Octos does the trick!
