My 2nd Satellite Thunderbolt 3!
I have an Apollo Twin X Duo and now 2 Satellite Octos - 18 DSP cores. My 8 core laptop does a great job mixing with processing and fx off loaded to external dsp. Next for me is a rack mount Apollo for more input/output options. So glad I’m building my home studio around UA gear. Best decision I‘ve made! And I’m a Luna fanatic!

No limit
1st think is that the device is smaller than my Apollo Twin X ! It works perfectly with no issue for being recognized by my windows 10 ! I don't look anymore at my dsp light monitoring

BEWARE: Console doesn’t recognize Satellite
Console doesn’t recognize my new Satellite Octo so I am still stuck with using only the one processor in my apollo solo. Luna won’t let me use more than one processor’s worth of plugins. If you have a solo the satellite will not work for you!

Very disappointed in the fact, that it only works without any latency when used together with Console. I bought the device to be able to use these legendary and outstanding plugins, only to experience latency and several crashes in Ableton. I now HAVE TO buy a UAD sound card also, to experience the full potential of UAD-s outstanding service. Really a shame.

It does what it says on the box. Extra DSP chips which are a must have if, like me, you "cheaped" out on an Apollo TwinX Duo and didn't go with the quad right from the start...

UA the Best
Well of course the UAD plugs are the best. They sound fantastic! The only bad that I can say if that they are expensive! I got the Apollo X4 and after learning it realized that I needed more DSP ! I didn’t know that even with 4 chips I wouldn’t be happy. I want to run only UA plugs so I needed the Octo Now I can run 54 instances of the DSP intense Neve 88rs channel strip! Oh... my life is complete!! (at lease until the next big thing)
