Neve 88 RS makes everything right.
I don't know how I could have lived without this plugin before. I mean I love the API strip but now recording in unison thru the 88 everything's just the way I always wanted it to be, even without the eq or the dynamics engaged. With a few coupons and the holidays offer it was just an unbeatable value as I always wanted this one. Thanx UAD!
Btw, would the AMS-DMX unit be in the making by any chance?

this one goes in the mastering chain a lot. great purchase - gives the mix some air and tames unwanted freq. very responsive, cant recommend this one enough.

Neve 1073 Preamp and Eq collection $129 Black Friday 2015
UA's 1073 sounds absolutely stunning. The Apollo's own preamps sound good as they are, but insert the 1073 and the difference is night and day. Unison technology is amazing!!! Stunningly vital, clear and focused sound. Powerful, terrific tone-shaping EQ. Realistic analogue clipping, and Impedance switching. Audio recorded through it comes at you with a definition and solidity that you can almost reach out and feel

Excelente Plugin
Es un excelente plugin, es muy versátil y suena muy bien. Al tener la versión Legacy incluida hace que podamos usarlo consumiendo menos DSP, sin embargo la versión nueva (que suena mucho mejor debido a la emulación de preamp) consume mucho DSP y eso lo hace poco eficaz al momento de necesitar varios insertos.

Neve 88RS Channel Strip Collection
Like most UAD customers, I have spent a lot of money on a lot of great UAD plugins. Knowing the VERY high prices UAD charges, I was not looking to take even more food off the table to pay for more plugins.
Yet, this Neve 88RS plugin does add a unique value the others don't. First, I am using this as an Input Insert in the Console channel. This way its in my recording chain. This works very well for me, specially for recording Bass as I have real Neve compression and EQ on the inbound path. I tried the freebie UAD 610-B, its on the right path but nothing like the audio finesse of the Neve 88RS.
In reading the manual, I see that the "Legacy" version is more suitable for playback Track Inserts as it uses less resources.

My first Neve gear
This is my first ever Neve gear(plug-in) that I own, having used a few hardware in some other studios.Best as a mic-pre on the way in and then the legacy for that Neve EQ to give it a creamy sound. I just love the fact that I can use the same Neve on many tracks just like a console!! :-) Way to go UAD!

Enjoy it everyday! Whether on a bus, master or individual instruments (tr-808's good friend), the 1073 Preamp and EQ is always the best starting point.

This is just an excellent Way to build a digital version of a Neve Console, that gives u the warmth and Power-Mids from the original :-) nice one UA!

Clair et précis
Je l'utilise essentiellement sur les prises de batteries. Le son obtenu est clair et très précis, notamment dans les graves. Ca fait revivre les pistes un peu ternes plutôt facilement. Ensuite je passe dans le Studer et j'ai une bonne basse de mix.
Je ne l'ai pas encore essayé en détail sur les voix et les guitares/basses (car j'ai un 610 en hardware auquel je suis habitué) mais les quelques tests rapides effectués sont très convaincants, même en n'utilisant que les presets.

The best preamp I ever used
This is the way faders SHOULD work built into our daw's, our audio devices. It's amazing. I'm using an RME UFX with pristine preamps. When they distort, they distort-ugly as digital does. This is a HUGE selling point for the Apollo as they can utilize these AS their preamp during the recording process. I'm very jealous. I use these as a plugin and love them. My only beef with them is they require a lot of power. But they're worth it. There's nothing like them. They make your guitar, voice, bass, drums, come alive. I work this by recording one track at a time, copying it and printing the individual track. It's a gorgeous sound that is clear and vintage. My recordings sound better, more organic. Oddly familiar and it's simple to use.

Neve 1073 Preamp & EQ Plug-In Collection
I still have the previous UAD 1073 plug-in version. And I still use it for minor details as it is not as processor heavy as the new one. This new version is quite extraordinary though. You can actually hear the differences in the mids and highs of the instruments even after the mastering stage.
And like the real analog gear, one can literally drive the EQ section into extreme settings, and still retain beautiful harmonic content. Unbelievable at this price! Not probably, but definitely the best plug-in ever made, from anyone ... ever!

sweet sounding
Helped me get my less than ideally recorded snare and kick to fit really well in the mix. Intuitive workflow and easy to dial in the right tone. So far, great on drums and vocals. EQ rivals 1073 but has different vibe. A little softer maybe or just higher fidelity.

This is the pre of the future past. If you are on the fence jump off and take your wallet out and get you this awesome plugin. Then plug in and cut some great vox. i have used or tried this in multiple situations and its made anything i've put it on shine.....GO GET YOU THIS!!!!
